Then on Christmas Pea was NOT feeling herself. She vomited up her breakfast meal, vomited up the scrambled egg I gave her for lunch, and refused dinner. She also refused her morning meal the next day.
My first thoughts were kidney failure. Vomiting, diarrhea, anorexia, and some stanky breath. My second thought, which made more sense because of her diabetes, was ketoacidosos. Shows the same symptoms as kedney failure. Both being extremely dangerous.
Thankfully she had a vet appt made for Saturday anyways because she lost one of her last remaining 3 teeth. the vet went over her bloodwork from under 6mos ago and her numbers were fantastic. Not kidney disease. Since she didn't have ketones in her urine, he doubted it was ketoacidosis. He believed it was an infection, gave her a shot of abx and a round to take home.
She was better by dinnertime. Beginning her 6pm ritual "dinner dance". She eats at 7pm. LOL My mom said she ate like a champ and has been feeling better ever since. Thank dog it wasn't something more serious.
This girl is going to have me gray before I turn 30. I swear it's her life's duty to make me go crazy. But I absolutely love her more because of it. The little monkey.
Hug your babes. Give them extra lovins from me and the Pea.
