Pea has a Lumpy Bumpy :(

See it there? Right smack in the middle? It's pea sized (ha ha), hard, attached to something under the skin, but still mobile. And not attached to the skin that covers it. So, tomorrow Pea goes to the vet to have it aspirated. We're keeping our fingers crossed. I'll keep everyone updated when I hear news. I'm thinking of trying to take a vacation day so I can be there when the results come out. We'll see how that goes. Any and all thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

On a better note, I spoke to a nutritionist this morning about switching Pea over to a premade raw diet. She said she thinks Pea would do well! So I'm going to take the plunge and give it a go. She also recommended a few supplements I should try with her. I've been struggling with finding her a food that I like that works. The food she's on now (Nature's Variety Instinct canned rabbit formula) works pretty good, but now they're changing their ingredients. Why can't a good company make a food geared towards diabetics? I know Merricks has a few "low glycemic" canned diets, but Pea only has three teefers! And Merricks (while I love the idea!) has huge chunks of stuff. I'd have to stick it in a blender first.

So I sent off an order for Aunt Jeni's rabbit and goat formulas. The nutritionist had never heard of the company, but was impressed with the ingredients and the website. It's full of yummy stuffs. I know she'll eat it. She'll eat anything. :) Hopefully it doesn't screw with her numbers too much. Wish us luck!
